Pixabay On average, online surveys pay very little, and websites providing paid surveys are becoming numerous, which is why it’s important for us to weed out the good from the bad, to ensure we’re utilizing our time answering surveys on reputable sites where we’re guaranteed to receive our money. As someone who works full time during the week, surveys are a source of side income that I use for spending money (especially during the holidays), so it’s important for me to use just a few, albeit very reliable, sources for this income. The four survey sites listed in this article are my go-to sites to earn money via surveys, and they’re sources I can vouch for!
4. PaidViewpoint
PaidViewpoint has been a steady, albeit very slow, source of income for me. I recommend it if you have the patience to answer a good deal of low-paying surveys in order to become one of their “preferred” members. PV uses a system called TraitScores to determine which of their members are the most reliable and deserve to make a little more off of each question answered. The higher your TraitScore, the more surveys you’ll be offered. It’s not uncommon for me to have multiple surveys per day. However, a majority of them are demographic surveys, which pay very little. On the occasion that there are actual surveys available, they pay fairly well. If you’re willing to grind through surveys to raise your TraitScore, PaidViewpoint can be a great source of side income!
3. YouGov
YouGov’s surveys are all related to politics (typically U.S. politics). If you’re not up with current events or don’t care much for politics, then this site may not be the right fit for you. However, if politics is your jam, then you’re in for a treat!
2. OnePoll
OnePoll is easily one of my favorite survey sites. The surveys they offer are typically pretty well paid for their length (usually between $0.50 - $1.00 per survey), and they’re pretty quick to pay out once you hit the threshold for a payout. The only thing about them is that their surveys aren’t as frequent as other sites, and the minimum amount for a payout is $65 USD. I’ve managed to cash out once, and am close to my second one, so it’s possible for this site to be a reliable source for survey income!

1. Prolific Academic
Prolific is my all time favorite survey site. They’re reliable in that they typically have a sizable number of surveys available for me, and they pay out very, very quickly. Prolific is a UK-based organization, and thus their services are only available to those participants in the UK and U.S. Prolific’s services are offered to universities looking to conduct research (typically for graduate projects). Because of this, they are usually short on surveys during the summer months, but they see an influx in them during the fall and spring semesters. Because of the nature of these studies, you’ll occasionally get an interesting (and even fun!) survey to take part in. And the best part is that you can know that your answers are going to a good cause—helping a graduate student complete their program!
